Q: What made you choose your study abroad program?
A: I had always wanted to study abroad in the UK or Europe. The University of Birmingham offered the best courses for my major and was central to almost everything in England.

Q: Why do you feel it is important for UNT students to study abroad?
A: Students need to study abroad because no other experience will allow them to grow independently in a foreign environment. There are skills like self-reliance, adaptability, and intercultural skills I wouldn’t have gained without studying abroad.

Q: How did studying abroad change your goals, interests, outlook, and worldview?
A: Studying in the UK sparked a passion for travel. I was able to travel to five different countries within Europe while abroad. Now it is a goal of mine to work internationally and travel as often as I can.

Q: What is your most favorite memory from studying abroad?
A: My favorite memory is when my flatmates and I took a day trip to Shakespeare's house. It was our first time hanging out with one another and the town was very English and quaint. It felt like a storybook!

Q: What advice do you have for students considering studying abroad or have upcoming study abroad trips?
A: Make the most of it. This is the time to say yes to everything. Take the weekend trip, book the flight, and go to the events. You won’t regret a new experience. If anything you’ll always take something away from it.
