Pre-Departure Orientation Information

UNT's Study Abroad Office conducts a mandatory training session for all Study Abroad and International Field Trip participants to ensure students are prepared for international travel.  Confirmed participants register here.

Sessions include:

  • UNT Expectations about behavior, the UNT Honor Code and study abroad
  • Emergency health and safety situations: What to do? Where to go? Whom to contact?
  • Managing expectations
  • UNT's health and accident insurance
  • Personal health and security
  • Culture shock and cultural adaptability
  • Money matters and financial aid

Please note that failure to attend a Pre-Departure Orientation session could result in removal from your study abroad program.
