Exchange students are enrolled in degree-seeking programs at one of UNT's partner universities.

Established in 1890, the University of North Texas is a place where students transform their lives through education and opportunity. Today, nearly 47,000 students from across the state, nation and world are fulfilling their dreams and getting an excellent educational experience. They choose from 250 programs — many nationally and internationally recognized — to pursue their goals of becoming teachers, artists, engineers and everything in between. At UNT, students and their success are the utmost priority.

It’s because of its students that UNT, the flagship of the UNT System, is the nation’s 31st largest public research university and Dallas-Fort Worth’s most comprehensive university. It’s because of its graduates and faculty leadership that UNT fuels the intellectual and economic vitality of one of the most dynamic, fastest-growing regions in the United States.

Last year students earned 12,000 degrees and left UNT with the knowledge and know-how to excel in work and in life. And they have joined the network of 476,000 alumni to become the leaders, doers and thinkers who sustain the workforce and drive progress and innovation. UNT’s ultimate mission is to help its students, region, state and nation excel.
